Collection of Information
Normal browsing
You can browse the Music Will website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Personal information provided by you
Music Will does not collect any personally identifiable information from you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide such information to us. We collect personal information you voluntarily provide to us when you fill out forms, sign up for programs and events, register for a teacher account, request access to curricular materials, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us. Examples include your name, email address, username/password (when registering for an account,) school or organization, city and state, and other relevant contact information. We do not process sensitive information.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Payment Data If you choose to donate or make purchases on our Services, all payment data is securely processed by GoFundMe Inc. (Donations), Cvent Inc.(Modern Band Summit), Shopify (Music Will Shop), and Stripe (Donations). Teacher Accounts Educators over the age of 18 may create Teacher Accounts on Music Will Academy (https://academy.musicwill.org) and Music Will JamZone (https://jamzone.musicwill.org.) We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, X, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, as well as other information you choose to make public on such a social media platform.We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. SMS Messaging If you have previously granted your express consent to receive SMS messages from Music Will for donation opportunities, events, or program updates. You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Music Will at any time. Simply text the word "Stop" to the number from which you received the message. By texting "Stop," you are providing your express consent to opt out of SMS messaging, and we will promptly remove your phone number from our SMS messaging system. This Policy is in accordance with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”)
Our website and services are intended for use by adults and educators. We do not solicit or collect personal information from children under 13.
Any student-facing educational content is accessed through educators and does not require student login.
In the event we discover we have collected information from a child in a manner inconsistent with COPPA’s requirements, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
Changes To This Policy
Music Will reserves the right to revise this Policy at any time for any reason in our sole discretion by posting an updated Policy without advance notice to you. Such revisions shall be effective immediately upon posting and if you use Music Will’s sites or applications after they become effective it will signify your agreement to be bound by the changes.
